upcoming travel

I’m a documentary wedding photographer based between Chicago and Kentucky, drawn to honest connection, movement, nostalgia, and the quiet in-between moments people often overlook.

What matters most to me isn’t creating perfection. It’s preserving feeling.

The shaky hands before the ceremony. The loud laughter during speeches. The way someone reaches for you without thinking. The moments that become memories long after the day itself has passed.

My work blends documentary observation with gentle editorial guidance so your photographs feel natural, emotionally present, and true to you.

Most couples tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera before we work together.

That’s completely normal.

You do not need to know how to pose or perform for your photographs to feel beautiful.

Part of my process is understanding when to guide and when to simply let moments unfold naturally. Some moments need direction. Others need space.

I pay attention to pacing, body language, energy shifts, movement, and emotional rhythm so your gallery feels lived in rather than overly curated.

The goal is never perfection.
It’s presence.

Guided gently, never forced.

Photography rooted in emotional presence.

For a long time, I described myself as an intuitive photographer.

What I’ve come to realize is that intuition, for me, looks a lot like emotional awareness.

It’s recognizing when someone needs reassurance instead of direction. It’s noticing the moments happening quietly at the edges of the day. It’s understanding how to document people honestly without making them feel observed every second.

I’m not interested in forcing emotion for the sake of a photograph.

I’m interested in creating enough comfort for real moments to happen naturally.
